Korbin Miley is a 2029 3B/RHP, 1B, IF, OF with a 5-10 190 lb. frame from Lake Lotawana, MO who attends Grain Valley. Long, square shouldered frame with present strength and additional room to develop moving forward. Ran a 9.19 60-yard dash. Primary third baseman, young footwork on the move, fields the ball out front and picks the backhand well, works on top of throws and shows carry and strength on to first base with accuracy, higher slot. Showed accuracy on throws from the outfield as well, deliberate tempo to actions, one handed gather out front, can quicken overall actions through the ball. Also pitched, side step moving into a big leg lift at start of delivery up above belt; controlled pace with a long arm action through the backside working to an over-the-top release point. Fastball topped out at 72 mph, showed life to it through the zone and pitched mostly off of fastball. Mixed a curveball with 12-6 shape and depth up to 63 mph, mixed it with some comfort, Right-handed hitter, begins with a closed stance and a high hand set and back elbow at the plate; swings with intent and remains short to the ball through the zone. Occasionally gets to front side early wiht some uphill to path, keeps hands inside the ball, can refine lower half to unlock additional strength at point of contact. Very good student.
