Charlie Wielinski is a 2027 C/OF with a 5-11 195 lb. frame from Rosemount, MN who attends Rosemount. Strong build, especially in the lower half. Right handed hitter, starts from a spread closed stance with a calm lower half load, has some hand quickness and generates bat speed, stays balanced well with solid line drive contact, has the strength continue to improve as a hitter. 7.56 runner in the sixty. Primary catcher on defense, low side set up, longer exchange and arm action, gains ground and showed average arm strength on throws. Fundamental footwork to the baseball in the outfield, fields everything cleanly out front and threw 85 mph from the position. Hit from a wide base with limited wasted movements at the plate. Hands direct to the baseball with a blend of strength and bat speed, slight uphill bat path and made consistent quality contact in BP. Very good student.
