2025 PG West Coast Uncommitted Prospect Showcase
Samuel Poirier is a 2028 SS/OF with a 6-1 195 lb. frame from Wildomar, CA who attends Elsinore. Ran a strong 7.05 sixty-yard dash. Showcased versatility during defensive workouts, appearing both in the infield and in the outfield. Poirier uses a big and projectable frame with athleticism and strength in the lower half. On the outfield grass, he worked to the ball well via an in-sync lower half and lateral range before making the plays thanks to clean funnels and soft glove work. Poirier delivered throws up to 80 mph from the outfield, reaching 78 mph across the infield. On the dirt, he again showcased lateral range and quickness with bounce present in the lower half. At the plate, the California native starts with an even base and higher hands before working into a toe tap load pre-launch. Poirier then fires through a barrel that did damage to the pull-side, producing exit velocities up to 81 mph. Terrific student.
