Dante Rodriguez is a 2025 1B/RHP/OF with a 6-2 175 lb. frame from Acampo, CA who attends Tokay. Long athletic build with lots of room to get stronger. Right handed hitter, starts from a slightly open stance with a short stride into his swing, will get to his front side too early at times, has lift in his swing, can get into his lower half more as he gets stronger to unlock more power, lots of projection here. 7.64 runner in the sixty. Primary first baseman on defense, has good athleticism to the ball and fields the ball cleanly, makes accurate throws with a long and loose ram action. Took a turn on the mound, works from a low paced delivery with a 3/4's arm slot, maintains his arm speed well on all his pitches. Fastball topped out at 77 mph, mostly straight. Has good feel for spinning the ball and changing the shape and speed, also threw a fading change up. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
