2023 PG Softball Oklahoma City Scouting Combine
Emily Meyers is a 2026 1B from Orange, TX who attends Deweyville. Emily showcased her ability to take control of the corner and showed she is a difference maker for her team in the box. On defense Emily does a great job attacking the ball on bunts and slow rollers. Has good footwork to the ball and understands foot placement on the bag. She's got soft hands and moves well to her glove side. As she continues to progress needs to work on shortening her arm slot to speed up throws across the diamond. Offensively, she is a right handed power hitter with huge power potential as she continues to work on consistently utilizing her lower half in her swing. She does a great job pulling the ball towards the left field line and when she connects her swing is smooth and the ball jumps off the bat. She does a great job taking her hands to low pitches in the zone and taking them right back up the middle. Overall she is a player that has a high ceiling if she continues to develop on the path that she is currently on. I am excited to continue to watch Emily's passion for the game.
