James McMahon is a 2029 C/RHP with a 6-0 175 lb. frame from Ramsey, NJ who attends Ramsey. Lean projectable athletic build. Primary catcher on defense, sets up slightly side saddle, stays in line well out of his crouch, mid-line transfers with a compact arm action, made accurate throws with some young arm strength, game actions in drills. Switch hitter at the plate, sets up in a straight stance with a compact hand load, has good bat speed with loud mid field line drive contact, arm driven swing that will get long at times. Sets up more narrow from the left side with more relaxed swing actions. Also pitched, works from a hybrid delivery with tight hands through his delivery, hides the ball very well, high 3/4's arm slot, pulls down on his front side hard and tends to lose his arm and release. Fastball topped out at 80 mph to go with a downer curveball and upper 60's change up. Has a competitive arsenal for his age, just needs better command and consistency.
