Chase Mears is a 2028 SS/RHP/3B with a 6-1 175 lb. frame from Manchester, VT who attends Burr & Burton Seminary. Strong, athletic looking frame with well-proportioned muscle throughout and room to add more. Recorded a 7.56 second sixty-yard dash time. Primary infielder with a sound defensive skill set. Showed some lateral range to either side, a clean funnel out in-front and works downhill through the baseball with intent. Maintains good posture during the fielding process and produced accurate throws up to 75 mph across the diamond during drills. Right-handed hitter that hits from a wider, slightly open stance with a high hand set, high back elbow and small inward stride into launch. Intent based stroke with looseness to his hands, feel for the barrel and strength at impact. Pullside approach with legitimate power potential as he continues to refine swing and add more strength.
