Drew Turgasen is a 2028 C/RHP/3B/OF with a 5-11 145 lb. frame from North Liberty, IA who attends Liberty. Slender high waisted athletic build. Right handed hitter, hits from a straight upright stance with a high land load, well timed swing that he repeats well, downhill path to the ball, has some bat speed and showed balance and extension, solid mid field line drive contact, clean swing that projects well as he gets stronger. 8.31 runner in the sixty. Primary catcher on defense, sets up high and tends to stand up to throw, two-step catch and throw process, has some young arm strength to build off of as he learns his actions and footwork. Also played infield and outfield, showed some actions in the infield with soft hands fielding the ball and a quick, compact arm action. Took a turn on the mound, tall and fall delivery with good pace to his mechanics, short and compact arm action, repeated well. Fastball topped out at 75 mph, has some run and sink and was thrown for strikes. Curveball was his best pitch with 11/5 shape and some depth when he was on top of it, threw his curveball for strikes as well. Excellent student.
