2025 PG Texas High School All-State Games (Invite Only)
Brody Prather is a 2027 1B/RHP with a 6-5 175 lb. frame from Wolfforth, TX who attends Frenship. Primary 1B with physical athletic frame. Showed good footwork working to the ball and fielding it cleanly. Comfort around the bag and hops off it athletically. Showed clean pivots and turns with his throws. Footwork around the bag. Looks comfortable around there and moves well. Was up to 80 from first. Also played outfield fielding it out front with one hand. Takes a quick first step and carries momentum through ball. Throws made with good strength and accuracy behind them. Was up to 86 from the outfield. Also pitched throwing from a standard 3/4 slot with a quick arm. Ball comes out of hand well and delivery gets repeated with consistency. Good whip to the arm in general off a firm front leg. Fastball worked up to 85 with good sinking action. Slider low-70s with tight bite. Showed a potent mix and was competitive in the zone. Also ran a 7.19 sixty. Left-handed hitter with a narrow upright base. Uses a small leg lift and stride into contact for timing and rhythm Can spray it all over the field with authority and showed a quality all fields approach. Swing is built for contact with a smooth lefty swing. Good feel for the barrel overall and took controlled hacks. Excellent Student. Named to the Texas High School All-State TP List.
