Knox Oakley is a 2030 SS/RHP/3B with a 5-5 125 lb. frame from Morrow, OH who attends Archbishop Moeller. Recorded a 10.32 second sixty yard dash time. Smaller young build with lots of growing ahead of him. Primary shortstop with a clean funnel to the center with active footwork. Showed some feel for the backhand and keeps the glove down with some feel to change slots and worked from an over-the-top slot on feeds across. Also threw during bullpens. The right-handed pitcher works from a full windup from the center of the mound with a side-step into a belt-high leg kick and a medium stride down the mound with drop-and-drive mechanics. The hands start at the chest and rise to the letters before breaking into an in-line, compact arm action and accelerates through from a three- quarter slot. The fastball (1636 RPM) was low-60s with some cut action when thrown glove side. Paired it with a low-50s curveball (1650 RPM) with young 11-5 shape and a low-50s slider (1638 RPM) with developing shape. Repeated the mechanics with some feel to locate around the zone. Right-handed hitter starts from a narrow base with an upright stance and a low back elbow with a low handset, utilizes a low hanging leg lift trigger. Flatter bat plane that used the middle-of-the-field. Young player with some upside as the frame grows and matures.
