Rowan Buresh is a 2027 RHP/OF with a 6-1 195 lb. frame from Branchville, NJ who attends High Point Regional. Features a taller build with some present strength. Ran a 7.74 60-yd dash. In the OF, showed an aggressive approach, using a good first step and charged hard into reception. Fielded slightly off to the side and deep which caused him to boot one but everything else was clean. Works in sync/rhythm into throws which allowed him to get off throws with decent quickness. Medium length to the arm action that got off downhill/accurate throws to the bag with avg. strength for his level. At the plate, he stands in a narrow, open and upright stance with higher set tight hands. Uses a quick, at times rushed toe tap trigger where hands drop slightly into launch. Some inconsistent timing and barrel feel during his round. Rotational swing showing a flatter path. Big intent to each swing and when he did connect it was loud impact the opposite way. On the mound, operates exclusively from the stretch. Slower methodical lift at the mid-chest and shows a more pushy lower half that gets down the mound with some late pace/intent and lands on-line. Arm action works into a slight stab out the back and gets up to a higher 3/4 slot. Ran the FB up to 83, living low 80s that exhibited some downhill plane and tendency to locate it gloveside. FB induced a good amount of in-zone whiffs during his outing. Mixed in a low 70s breaker that varied in shape but that flashed strong 11/5 shape and depth and that produced a couple whiffs. CH in the low 70s is a developing pitch showing minimal difference in shape off the FB.
