Oliver Monroe is a 2027 SS/MIF with an athletic 5-11 155 lb. frame from Takoma Park, MD who attends Montgomery Blair HS. Started the event off clocking a 7.73 60-yard dash. A primary shortstop that worked around ground balls well when he was under control and using proper technique. Still developing consistent foot/glove timing on the backhand. Reached 80 mph across the diamond. Right-handed hitter. Utilizes a slightly open stance into a small leg kick timing mechanism. Swings on a slightly lofted path with hand speed present. Drifts forward at times but shows good intent throughout the swing. Approach is geared toward the pull side. Can drive balls well when squared up. Excellent student.
