2025 PG Ohio Valley Workout Showcase (Wed.)
Landon Parr is a 2028 RHP/SS with a 6-0 165 lb. frame from Lawrenceburg, IN who attends Lawrenceburg. Recorded a 7.44 second sixty yard dash time. Long and lean frame that projects well going forward. Primary right-handed pitcher works from a full windup from the middle of the rubber with a small side-step into an above-the-belt leg lift and a moderate stride down the mound. The hands start at the chest and stay until breaking into a longer inverted w arm action and an in-line path before accelerating through from an over-the-top arm angle. Had some whip to the arm and gets some push down the slope with tall-and-fall lower half mechanics. The fastball (2057 RPM) was mid-70s and up to 77 with some carry through the zone and sink to it when low in the zone. Paired it with a low-70s change-up (1702 RPM) with some arm-side fade and horizontal ride and repeats the arm action on it well. Secondary shortstop with a low three- quarter arm angle and some stab on the backhand. Right-handed hitter starts from a spread stance and a low back elbow with a low handset, utilizes a lift-and-replace trigger. Creates some separation and a flat bat plane and served line drives to the pull-side and the middle-of-the-field. Can clean up the hand path some to get the barrel out easier. Intriguing player with good upside on the mound. Named to the 2025 PG Ohio Valley Workout Showcase (Wed.) Top Prospect list.
