Taylor Stone is a 2009 1B/P with a 6'3'', 218 lb. frame from Sierra Vista, AZ who attends Buena. Stone has a big frame with a big strong build. Defensively, Stone has good defensive actions and he works well around the bag at 1B. His feet work defensively and his hands work as well. He can make the picks at 1B as well. At the plate, Stone starts with a short load and uses a quiet knee lift trigger to start his swing. He doesn't get his weight back at load and is a front foot hitter. Stone generates good bat speed and makes consistent solid contact. The ball jumps off his bat and he can hit for some power. Stone squares the ball up well and gets the barrell there. Stone pitches from a 3/4 arm slot with a medium length arm action. He uses tall and fall style mechanics with an inline delivery. Stone throws a 2/8 sweeping curveball and throws it for strikes. He is a very good student.
