Cohen Boyd is a 2027 SS/RHP, 3B with a 5-8 145 lb. frame from Jayess, MS who attends Brookhaven Academy. Taller frame with long levers and room to fill out. Ran a 8.03 in the sixty yard dash. Primary short stop, clean glove work fielding with two hands out front, attacks the baseball taking good angles, accurate throws across the diamond up to 74 mph. Also pitched, stretch only delivery with a leg lift to the chest, pitches with intent, fastball showed cutting life up to 76 mph, missed bats with the offering in and out of the strike zone, flashed a curveball with 11-5 shape and solid depth, seldom used the offering and would benefit more from using it more often. Right handed hitter, medium length base with open feet, low hand set with a lot of movement, good rhythm to the operation, present bat speed that will only improve with age, worked the baseball gap to gap with authority. Good student. Named to the Top Prospect List.
