Cason Borchardt is a 2027 OF/LHP/1B with a 6-3 185 lb. frame from Horace, ND who attends Horace. Long and wiry athletic build. Left handed hitter, starts from a narrow stance with a high leg raise load, simple and direct hand path, uses his hands well,, creates some lift at contact, solid present bat speed with lots more to come, really projectable hitting tools. 7.03 runner in the sixty. Primary outfielder on defense, has a full arm action with some young carry to his throws, still developing his footwork to and through the ball. Took a turn on the mound, has a loose and quick arm from a 3/4's arm slot, moves well down the mound and repeats his mechanics. Fastball worked in the mid-80's, curveball had good tightness and 1/7 shape, also flashed a firm change up. Very good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
