Hudson Long is a 2027 C/RHP/3B with a 5-7 125 lb. frame from Huntsville, AL who attends Virgil Grissom. Young, lean build. 8.01 runner in the sixty-yard dash. Primary catcher, squared up stance and low in the setup, stands up out of the crouch with young actions, compact arm action and gets the ball out quickly, developing arm strength, recorded throws down up to 64 mph and a pop-time of 2.39. Secondary right-handed pitcher, tight operation down the mound, compact arm action to a straight over the top slot. Showed some athleticism and worked with a fastball heavy diet, sat in the 65-68 mph range with straight life. Right-handed hitter, wide and even base with a squared stance, small stride out into contact, has some loft to the path, young bat speed shown. Simple swing, solid foundational swing to continue building onto as he gets stronger. Also worked out in the infield, gets the glove down late, step by step movements getting to the baseball, same arm strength we saw in other workouts. Recorded accurate throws across up to 66 mph.
