Luis Hernandez Jr is a 2027 OF/LHP with a 5-10 173 lb. frame from Carteret, NJ who attends Carteret. Medium athletic build with some present strength. Left handed hitter, sets up in a spread and open stance with a high and tight hand load and an inward toe tap trigger, has a pull side approach with some lift, was consistent in his timing and made solid barrel contact, has some hitting tools to continue to develop. 7.81 runner in the sixty. Primary outfielder on defense, charges the ball well and fielded it cleanly, made accurate throws from a 3/4's arm slot with developing arm strength. Also took a turn on the mound, has a high and compact leg raise and good drive down the mound, high 3/4's arm slot. Fastball topped out at 72 mph with some arm side running life, also threw a soft curveball and landed both pitches consistently for strikes. Good student.
