2024 Midwest Indoor Showcase
JJ Ackerman is a 2025 SS/RHP with a 6-1 170 lb. frame from Madison, WI who attends James Madison Memorial. Large, athletic frame with a high waist and lean frame, room to fill throughout moving forward. Ran a 7.46 60-yard dash. Primary shortstop, stays low to the ball on approach with some bend at the wait, plays with energy, higher slot on throws with some whip through release, gets inconsistent with release point and can continue to refine for additional accuracy. Right-handed hitter, begins with a spread and wide base in the box with a high hand set and back elbow, deeper load at start of swing, contact oriented approach with an inward leg lift trigger. Swings with intent, best contact to the middle of the field when on time, longer swing path through the zone, occasionally gets front foot down late. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
