2024 New York Indoor Showcase (Sunday)
Jaden Ju is a 2026 RHP/OF with a 5-10 145 lb. frame from Mechanicville, NY who attends Shenendehowa. Lean, high-waisted frame with present athleticism and plenty of room to add more strength as he continues to physically mature. Primary right-handed pitcher, worked exclusively from the stretch. Lifts the leg up to the chest as the hands break at the chin. Separated into a deeper arm path before releasing the baseball from a high three-quarters slot. Pushed off the first base side of the rubber. Creates good extension as he carries momentum down the slope. Fastball is pretty straight with some natural heaviness. Located it well throughout the strike zone and topped it out at 80 mph. Curveball took on a 12-5 appearance with bigger depth and occasional sweep to it. The breaker sat in the upper-60s with spin up to 2400 rpm; has a good feel for spinning it. Pitched to contact with his mix. Secondary outfielder, attacked the baseball with urgency and worked through it well. Stayed light on the feet and built up to an aggressive pull-down and three-quarters release. Kept the throws low and online while recording arm strength up to 79 mph. Right-handed hitter, starts in a wide stance with a compact hand set-up. Utilizes a simple stride for timing before working into a slightly uphill bat path. Turns fast to the point of contact, creating clean separation and extension through the zone. Created loud impact and carry to both gaps. Demonstrated consistent barrel skills with intriguing power potential. Posted an exit velocity of 76 mph. Ran a 3.96 thirty-yard dash. Great student.
