2005 World Showcase
Hector Pellot is a 2005 shortstop/third baseman from Caguas, Puerto Rico, with an athletic 5'11", 185 lb. frame. He has outstanding actions defensively. Pellot makes all of the plays, including several outstanding plays during the showcase games. He also has arm strength (86IF) with good accuracy. At the plate, he is a right handed hitter with an advanced approach and a quick bat that uses the entire field. Pellot has a short and compact swing path and the ball jumps off his bat. He makes solid contact with present college level power. Pellot is a top level hitter and defensive player that should get lots of attention from the professional scouts this spring.
