Chase Estrada is a 2029 C/3B with a 6-0 175 lb. frame from Glencoe, IL who attends New Trier Township. Taller athletic build with the beginnings of some present strength. 7.59 runner in the sixty. Primary catcher with a sound catch-and-throw skill set. Received softly from a one-knee stance, gains ground towards his target and maintains a direct midline transfer into a shorter arm action. Delivered fairly accurate throws up to 71 mph from behind the plate during drills. Secondary corner infielder with deliberate footwork, displayed a clean funnel and works through the backhand with proper footwork. Produced arm strength up to 73 mph across the diamond during drills. Right-handed hitter that hits from a wider base with a high hand set, high back elbow and negative toe-tap trigger. Leveraged stroke with good lower half engagement and some strength at impact. Best impact when connected and on-time, will continue to improve with proper swing adjustments and additional strength.
