2024 EC Lumberjack's Workout Showcase
Cayden Worontsoff is a 2029 RHP/3B with a 5-9 135 lb. frame from Mount Sinai, NY who attends Mount Sinai. Developing, young frame with plenty of time and room to physically mature. Recorded a 8.94 second sixty-yard dash time. Primary right-handed pitcher that worked from a full windup delivery with a small side-step into balance and medium stride down the slope into foot strike. Uses a high front lever to create some deception, fastball worked in the upper-60s for the duration of his outing and topped out at 69 mph from a high three-quarters arm slot. Showed developing feel for spin that will continue to improve with proper refinements mechanically. Completed pitch mix with a slightly faded changeup that he maintained arm speed on. Secondary infielder with a developing defensive skill set. Used short, choppy footwork to move laterally from side-to-side, while displaying fairly accurate throws up to 68 mph across the diamond. Right-handed hitter that hits from a wide, crouched base with a high, tight hand set and small hover trigger. Contact oriented approach with hands driven stroke and slightly uphill path. Showed developing bat-to-ball skills with mostly pullside contact. Will continue to improve with proper swing adjustments and additional strength. Great Student.
