2025 PG Michigan Indoor Showcase
Jakob Groeschel is a 2028 OF/RHP/2B with a 5-9 160 lb. frame from Springfield, OH who attends Kenton Ridge. An uber-athletic frame and lean build with plenty of projection throughout. Frame and build projects well. Ran a 6.94 60-yard dash. A primary outfielder who shows good footwork to it with super clean movements and some aggression to his actions. He had throws that carried well, throwing 83 mph from the outfield. He had a good approach and showed throws with a low flight and some carry. He also worked out on the infield, moving well to it with a shorter and compact arm action. Threw 81 mph across the diamond with a good whip to the arm. Quick feet and easy athleticism that showed. Good actions that project. He took BP as a right-handed hitter with a spread and slightly open base. He has a higher back elbow and high hands with good hand speed. He used a minimal leg lift trigger, turning hard through it with a good whip, impacting it well. He showed some bat speed, finding a groove during his round and living on the barrel. He showed a fluid barrel with some quicker hands. Produced a 91 mph exit velocity during PG DK Testing. Great student. Named to 2025 Michigan Indoor Showcase TP List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
