Chase Holtzman is a 2026 3B/RHP with a 6-0 170 lb. frame from Plainfield, IL, who attends Plainfield North. A bigger and taller frame with room to keep filling out moving forward. Ran a 7.82 60-yard dash. A primary third baseman who showed off good actions working out as an infielder. He had choppy steps on the approach with quick feet. Showed a clue for the angles and was accurate on his throws across, recording outs. He had a solid backhand on display and was quieter with the glove overall. Threw 78 mph across the diamond. A right-handed hitter with an open stance and even base. He uses a toe-tap trigger for timing. He's rotational through contact with a two-handed finish and some bat wrap. He has good hand speed, and the ball jumps when he's on time. He's stronger with a shorter finish through contact. Had some lift with a longer swing overall. Produced an 80 mph exit velocity during PG Tech testing. Also took to the mound as a right-handed hitter who had a bigger frame with some strength to it in his move down the mound. He worked with a very open setup, pitching from the stretch. He closed up to be more on-line as he comes set. Uses a bigger leg fit up above the letters. The fastball was 78-80 mph with some life to it. He showed a curveball with big depth to it, being able to miss some bats. Tighter spin and a good shape to it. He could land it for strikes and get some whiffs with the pitch. He shortens up the leg lift with runners on. He showed some acceleration working downhill with some quickness in the arm—a quick inning from the right-hander who missed some bats and recorded outs. Excellent student.
