Evan Francis is a 2027 C/OF with a 5-8 172 lb. frame from Ambridge, PA who attends Ambridge Area. Medium, square shouldered frame with some present strength throughout build. Ran an 8.19 60-yard dash. Primary catcher, turned to the side in set up behind plate during drills, gains some ground coming out of crouch, will continue to quicken overall footwork, receives the ball out front and works into a higher release, accurate throws down to second base, arm strength will continue to develop. Right-handed hitter, begins with an upright and slightly open base with a tight hand set and wrapped barrel at start of swing. Rotational swing but does a nice job of remaining compact with hands and shows some present quickness to them, able to work to all parts of the field. Creates some leverage in swing and looks to lift, occasionally gets too uphill in path, has traits to improve upon. Very good student.
