Cal Jenkins is a 2025 LHP with a 6-0 150 lb. frame from Winfield, MO, who attends Veritas Christian Academy. A taller and high-waisted build with long levers throughout the build. Some length and projection remaining in his build. Ran a 7.07 60-yard dash. A primary left-handed pitcher who worked from the wind-up using a hybrid delivery. He has a leg lift knee-to-belt with some extension working down the mound. He coils the leg lift slightly and then makes his move into a higher-three-quarters release. The ball comes out smoothly with some looseness and whip to it. He worked the mid- to upper-70s on the fastball with spin above 2,000 RPMs, showing life to it. He showed some arm-side sink to it when located in the lower half. He showed a breaking ball with a high-tilt slurvy shape to it, showing more of a 2-7 look. He can land the breaker for strikes. A throws strikes and commands the zone. There are good traits to the breaking ball, and he pairs it well with a changeup that has a late fade working in the low-70s. He mixed well and got the job done, inducing some whiffs and finding success overall. He's a left-handed hitter with open feet and higher-set hands & back elbow. He has a deep load with some good turns through it. He aims to pull the ball and turns over the barrel. He had some lift showing at times and was able to work the pull-side gap and up-the-middle during his round of BP swings. He had some lift and showed good swings. He also worked out as an outfielder with a longer arm action and three-quarters arm action. He created some whip through release, and the ball comes out well. He was reaching bases in the air. He gets it out quickly, carrying momentum to it as he attacks it, staying through it well. He had some bigger separation into his release, and he threw 77 mph from the outfield during his round. Jenkins shined on both sides of the ball. Great student. Named to 2024 St. Louis Uncommitted TP List.
