Mark Kendall is a 2029 LHP/1B with a 6-5 205 lb. frame from West Palm Beach, FL who attends IMG Academy. Tall and slender, young build with big strength potential as he matures. Ran an 8.40 60-yard dash. Primary first baseman, who showed choppy steps on the approach, showing a smooth arm stroke working across the diamond, with throws at 76 mph. he was accurate with his feeds to second. Had a level of comfortability on display at first base, working around the bag with the footwork, turns, and pivots. Took BP as a left-handed hitter, with higher hands, the back elbow up, and a wider base. He had a bigger left-handed swing, with length through the zone, and a big use of the upper body to generate whip and barrel thump. He showed length to the barrel through the zone and was able to impact it a bit at times. Produced a 91 mph exit velocity during PG DK Testing. Took to the mound as a left-handed pitcher, with a sidestep into a belt-high leg lift. Uptempo operation throughout the operation, with a quick move down the slope. He worked from a medium three-quarters arm action, with a medium arm action through the back. He flashed some sink to the fastball, with a feel to attack the zone shown early on. The fastball worked in the 78-80 mph range. He also showed a sweeping breaking ball in the mid- to upper-60s as well. Showed some developing shape to the breaker. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
