Daniel Keegel is a 2027 C/3B with a 5-10 160 lb. frame from East Northport, NY who attends Northport. Medium build with plenty of room to fill in and get stronger. Primary catcher on defense, sets up in a spread square stance, tends to reach out front for the ball, strides open into his throws, compact arm action, can continue to improve with focus on his fundamentals. Also worked out in the infield with third base actions, fields the ball cleanly with good glove work, made accurate soft throws. Right handed hitter, hits from an open stance with a high hand load and a hanging front leg timer, inconsistent getting his foot down on time, bat speed will continue to improve with additional strength. Excellent student.
