Joseph Ferrante is a 2027 OF/RHP with a 5-11 175 lb. frame from N. Massapequa, NY who attends Farmingdale. Ferrante works from a medium athletic build with strength proportioned throughout. As a primary OF, displayed an aggressive build up and released from a compact arm action up to 73 mph. Has plenty of time to get the footwork under control as a '27 prospect. Did a nice job of keeping throws low and on target. Arm strength should develop nicely in the future. On the mound, Ferrante started from the 1B side of the rubber with some funk and deception to the operation. He released from an over the top slot and effectively worked in line down the mound with developing velocity. Showcased refining spin profile in arsenal. On the offensive end, started from a slightly open base with a compact hand set and toe tap trigger, producing consistent contact to the middle of the field. He attempted to create lift in the bat path with further power potential down the road. Posted an exit velo of 78 mph. Ran a 5.18 forty yard dash. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
