Pitching
- Slower/methodical mover. Mid-chest knee lift. Lands open with a taller finish and minimal block. Recommend moving with some more pace and land on-line which could help armside misses and stop him from falling off towards 1B side of the mound.
- Used a shorter pocket path type arm action which showed quality timing/positioning. Just needs to develop arm strength. FB showed sinking action getting under barrels. Flashed a slower slurvy breaker that still needs further development from shape/velo standpoint. I would recommend cueing yourself to keep everything the same as the FB when throwing it, keep a stiff wrist, and let the grip do the work.
Fielding
- Some quality movements in the OF. Gets low to the ball early with flashes of some quickness. Just fielded off the backfoot at times. Just make sure you set an early out front glove. Throws were accurate to the bag and kept them down.
- INF actions were solid. Set up in good posture with good glove positioning that fielded each GB clean. Just some slight improvements to footwork/quickness so that they keep working through the ball at reception. Glove taps hurt some quickness as well but overall good infield round.
Hitting
- Pretty good overall round of BP. Quality rhythm to swing with toe-tap/hands for timing. More of a down-and-through stroke showing an aggressive top hand which can cause some steepness shown with majority of groundballs during his round.
- Balanced overall swing. Just need to continue to develop strength. I would try to flatten out the swing a tad to give some more adjustabiltity when late as the downhill path tends to only give you success when you are out front.
