Jayden Dodd is a 2027 MIF/RHP/3B with a 5-10 172 lb. frame from Goodyear, AZ who attends Desert Edge. Features a medium sized build with room to add strength. Ran a 7.71 60-yd dash. Showed developing actions in the OF and fundamental actions in the INF. Some hesitation and choppiness to the actions in the OF. Slows down into reception but fields it clean and out front. Showed a shorter arm action that got off throws with avg. strength and downhill one-hop accuracy. In the INF, showed better glovework then footwork. Feet wait back but the glove works through it. Used a quick transfer that got off throws with avg. strength and was 4/5 accurate across. At the plate, operated from a narrow base and used a simple trigger into launch. Inconsistent timing and feel for the barrel. Hands work inside it but have trouble releasing the barrel out front. Path shows some uphill traits with a high finish. Flashes of quality bat speed and pull side strength when he caught it out front. On the mound, worked exclusively from the stretch and used a tall/fall type delivery but rotates hard and fast late in the operation. Showed a shorter AA with a mini stab out the back that then works up to a 3/4 slot. FB worked into the upper 70s where it had normal 4S shape. Mixed in a mid 60s breaking ball that had more slurvy shape that at times he had better feel for the the fastball.
