Palmer Steinmetz is a 2027 C/2B with a 5-10 170 lb. frame from Otsego, MN who attends St. Michael-Albertville. Athletic build with some length and strength, projects well physically. 7.51 runner in the sixty. Primary catcher on defense, comes out of his crouch well, gains ground on his throws, can get out of control at times, has some arm strength and makes accurate throws, will continue to improve with repetitions and fundamentals. Also worked out in the infield and had a good idea on his footwork and exchange and put himself in position to make accurate throws. Right handed hitter, starts from a narrow slightly open stance with a simple stride into contact, has strength in his swing and good bat speed, drove the gaps hard with some ability to lift the ball. Good student. Named to the 14U Midwest All-State Games Top Prospect List.
