Kolby Hayward is a 2028 OF/1B, MIF with a 5-10 125 lb. frame from Glendale, AZ who attends Sandra Day O'Connor. Features a medium-sized wiry build with plenty of room/time to add. Ran a 7.89 60-yd dash. In the OF, showed developing actions. Waits back to start and eventually works with some quickness in his approach. Gets low but struggles at times to get glove fully down. Slight regather post reception where he uses a smaller crow hop and longer arm action that got off high arcing throws with avg. strength and present accuracy. At the plate, he sits in a taller/narrow stance. Uses a simple glide for his forward move with a smaller takeback of the hands where drifted into contact a couple of times. Hands dominant the swing throwing a more direct barrel and pushing it at times. Exhibited avg. bat/hand speed for his level throughout his BP round. Showed some inconsistent timing finding himself late for portions of his round and his best results were inside-out LDs to the middle of the field where he didn't show what he could do when he gets fully extended.
