Jacob Dunn is a 2027 RHP/1B, 3B with a 5-10 180 lb. frame from San Pedro, CA who attends San Pedro. Features a medium-sized frame with some present strength. Ran a 7.76 60-yd dash. In the INF, displayed developing actions. Decent footspeed/quickness got him to his spots on-time where he showed inconsistent glovework. A bit stiff and late at times getting the glove down but fielded most of them clean. Present glove-tap and extra shuffle into throws where they showed quality strength across with accuracy. At the plate, he sits with an even base and closed stance. Simple moves into launch where he uses a smaller/simple leg lift trigger for timing while he maintains and upright torso through. Bat path works more downhill at entry and into contact with a shorter finish. Best results were some decent LDs through the middle of the field. Avg. bat/hand speed and impact for his level. On the mound, side steps into a belt high knee lift. Smaller drop in driveleg but drifts down the mound well. Avg. length stride that works on-line. Hand-led longer arm path out the glove and works to release to a lower 3/4 slot. Ran the FB up to 76 that exhibited some running action. Mixed in a developing breaking ball in the upper 50s that had bigger/slow 11-5 shape. Stayed around the zone throughout his outing showing fine command.
