Yuriel Gonzalez Vargas is a 2027 RHP/3B/OF with a 5-11 150 lb. frame from Salem, MA who attends Salem Academy. Medium build with some signs of strength. 7.24 runner in the sixty. Primary right-handed pitcher, worked exclusively from the stretch with some torque generated during his leg kick. Strides relatively inline as he accelerates down the slope. Tends to vary his release point and cut his fastball; topped it out at 75 mph. Flashed a shorter curveball at 69 mph. Secondary third baseman, works through the baseball at a deliberate pace and tends to bend at the waist. Can get stabby with the glove and halt his momentum through the ball. Used a shorter arm path into release. Right-handed batter, starts in an even stance with a relatively even hand set-up. Utilizes a short leg lift trigger for timing before working into a level bat path. Displayed rotational swing mechanics with some feel for working the middle of the field. Posted an exit velocity of 81 mph. Great student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
