Easton Long is a 2029 SS/RHP/3B with a 5-11 145 lb. frame from Forest, VA who attends Jefferson Forest High School. On the mound, he works from the stretch with smooth rhythm and a low-effort delivery. He throws from a three-quarter slot with a whippy arm action and has good extension out front. The fastball has sinking action when he gets extended, and he mixes in a slider with gradual break along with a developing changeup. There is arm speed and projection here, with more velocity likely coming as he adds strength. Defensively, he moves well for his size and looks comfortable in the infield. He stays down through the baseball, presents a soft glove, and has the ability to change arm angles when needed. His actions are solid, and his length and athleticism give him upside. At the plate, he is a right-handed hitter with an upright stance, high hands, and some rhythm. He has looseness in his swing and the ability to get the barrel moving. The frame and athleticism suggest more offensive upside is on the way.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
