Jace Boessen is a 2029 LHP/1B/OF with a 6-0 150 lb. frame from Centertown, MO who attends Helias. Slender and projectable young pitcher's build. Works from a full wind up and a 3/4's arm slot, still growing into his coordination and ability to repeat, arm was loose and clean out front. Fastball topped out at 72 mph to go with a low 60's curveball that had some spin and 1/7 shape. 7.56 runner in the sixty. Worked out both in the outfield and at first base, arm worked well at both positions and projects but still developing his glove work, tends to field the ball deep. Switch hitter at the plate, sets up in an upright straight stance from the right side, has a loose swing and good bat speed and strength at impact, solid pull to mid-field contact. Sets up spread and open from the left side with a short swing, less bat speed and impact ability from this side, much more advanced at present right handed.
