Niall Menon is a 2028 LHP with a 5-11 160 lb. frame from Waban, MA who attends Newton South. Medium build with lean strength, room to add more as he develops. Ran a 5.94 40-yard dash. Primary left-handed pitcher, works exclusively from the stretch with a compact, abbreviated arm stroke and three-quarters slot. Hides the ball well and shows varying movement on the fastball, topping at 75 mph. Shows feel to spin a tight slider with later break and separation from the fastball, changeup is developing. Flashes upside on the mound with continued polish. At first base, shows a sound two-hand fielding approach and gets around the bag cleanly. Works to present the glove, stays low through the ball, and shows soft hands with developing arm strength and accuracy across the diamond. Left-handed hitter, starts from an open stance with a deep hand load. Gets into his lower half, looks to elevate and drive through the ball with intent, and creates backspin when squared. Flashes bat speed and showed some strength in the hands, especially to the pull side. Has tools to build on with added rhythm and consistency.
