Evan Leyva is a 2028 OF/1B with a 5-10 145 lb. frame from South Pasadena, CA who attends Maranatha. Medium size athletic frame. Ran a 7.05 60-yard dash. Versatile outfielder/first baseman. Quicker feet, choppy developing footwork to the baseball in the outfield, breaks down the baseball some, developing glove actions working through and shows an above average arm for the age. Made all the plays at first base, squares to the baseball, gets to a fundamental fielding position and made accurate throws while moving off the bag. Hit from a wide base, gets to a quick direct launch position, some barrel control with developing strength and bat speed to go with a line drive all fields approach. Named to event Top Prospect List. Very good student.
