2024 National West Showcase
Joe Perry is a 2027 3B/C, 1B with a 5-10 185 lb. frame from Scottsdale, AZ who attends Chaparral high school. Started off the event clocking a 8.70 60-yard dash. Perry is a primary third baseman and a secondary catcher. During his BP round he showed the ability to barrel up the baseball. Employed a pull approach from a wider spread out stance. There is a minor hitch in the load, but got his hands in a good hitting position before firing to contact. The majority of the balls he squared up were on the ground. Helms profiles at a corner infield position. He demonstrated he could make all the required plays and throws across the diamond. The arm strength is developing currently.
