David Denafo is a 2029 C/RHP/3B with a 5-10 160 lb. frame from Waterford Works, NJ who attends St. Joseph. Medium young build with some present strength. Right handed hitter, sets up in a spread stance with a low leg raise hanging timer, has some strength in his hands and creates jump off the barrel, works mid field and away while staying behind the ball well, consistent timing and barrel control. Primary catcher on defense, sets up square behind the plate, pops out of his crouch well, works uphill into his throws and tends to recoil on release, has some young arm strength and made on line throws while repeating his actions well. Also worked out in the infield, had step by step actions to and through the ball, gets his glove down early, tends to bend at the waist to field, made accurate throws. Excellent student. Named to the PG New York Indoor Showcase Top Prospect List.
