Nolan Cordrey is a 2029 C/IF/OF with a 6-0, 150 lb. frame from Morrow, OH who attends Little Miami High School. He has a tall, slender build with plenty of room to fill out and add strength. He is a 7.66 runner in the sixty. His projectable frame shows long-term potential as he continues to develop physically and work on his skills. Right-handed hitter who starts with an open stance, high hand position, and slight barrel wrap. He has a bigger leg lift and an uphill swing path. He has the most production on elevated pitches, showing some power projection. Some work with plate coverage will make him more dangerous. With more strength and reps, he could unlock more consistent impact in his swing. Defensively, he shows versatility by playing in the outfield, infield, and behind the plate. Catcher is his primary position. He has a pop time of 2.14. He has a medium frame and a quick arm with some carry and arm strength. The glove and transfer can be stiff at times, but he has the makings of a solid catcher. His footwork can be rushed at times and he receives better to his glove side, showing developing comfort. In the outfield, he's is still growing into his body. He repeats his mechanics well, has some accuracy on throws, and has good carry for his age. There is a solid developmental foundation here. In the infield, he makes an effort to work through the ball and showed some feel on the run. Very athletic and his instincts are still developing. His throwing motion has a slight double tap, and the arm grades out around average. He projects more as a corner infielder at this stage, with good upside. Nolan was named to the 14U Ohio Valley All-State Games Top Prospect List.
