Sammy Haddix is a 2028 C/RHP/1B with a 5-10 159 lb. frame from Monroe, MI who attends Dundee Community. A medium frame and build with some room to keep filling out moving forward. Ran an 8.63 60-yard dash. A primary catcher who worked out behind the plate with a side saddle setup. He had a feel for the transfer, working through it with some feel for the footwork. He threw 71 mph and popped a 2.03 pop time during his round of throws. Also worked out at first base, fielding it up the middle with a higher release as the ball comes out fine with throws at 71 mph. He had a shorter arm action with some snatch to the hands and a good feel around the bag. He had good turns on his feeds to second base. Took BP as a right-handed hitter with a spread base, slightly open feet, high hands, and a lower back elbow. He had a leg lift trigger working inward with some length to the swing, getting the hands extended, working the whole field but mostly backside early. He showed some impact all over the field. Linear path with a compact swing top-to-bottom. Good student.
