Henry Murphy is a 2028 RHP/MIF with a 6-0 150 lb. frame from Park Ridge, IL who attends Maine South. Lean, high-waisted frame with plenty of projection remaining. Primary right-handed pitcher, utilizes a full wind-up delivery from the first base side of the rubber. Lifts his front leg up to the chest before breaking his hands at the chest and into a deeper arm path. Accelerates into a low three-quarters arm angle. Remains direct and inline as he works down the slope. Fastball was pretty straight and located around the strike zone, ultimately peaking at 78 mph. Mixed in a vertical curveball with a developing spin profile. Projects well as a pitcher with improved command. Secondary middle-infielder, worked through the baseball at a deliberate pace with some rhythm to his footwork. Covered some ground laterally and fielded the ball with soft hands. Displayed developing adjustability with the glove and arm. Uses a stiffer arm path and over-the-top slot to deliver throws across the diamond. Recorded arm strength up to 75 mph. Right-handed hitter, starts in a wider stance with a high back elbow and tight hands. Utilizes a toe-tap trigger for timing before working into a level bat path. Gets his front foot down and turns the barrel a bit late while rotating his hips with intent. Produced occasional soft contact to the opposite field during batting practice. Displayed developing barrel control and bat speed. Projects for more power with additional strength and improved timing. Posted an exit velocity of 75 mph. Ran a 7.74 sixty-yard dash. Great student.
