2024 Fall East Coast Workout Showcase (Friday)  
Joey Cordovano is a 2029 1B/RHP/3B with a 5-9 145 lb. frame from North Caldwell, NJ who attends West Essex Middle School. Recorded a 10.17 second sixty-yard dash time. Compact, medium frame with plenty of time and room to physically mature. Primary first baseman with a developing defensive skill set. Incorporates deliberate footwork into and throughout the fielding process. Slight waist bend to field, does a nice job of adjusting glove and works through the baseball with good direction. Delivered fairly accurate throws up to 60 mph across the diamond during drills. Right-handed hitter that hits from a slightly open base with a high, tight hand set and medium forward stride into contact. Used rotational lower half mechanics to create bat speed and showed consistent ability to make contact. Whole field approach due to slightly elongated swing path, will continue to improve with proper mechanical adjustments on both sides of the ball and additional strength.
