James Harvey is a 2031 SS/2B/RHP with a 4-8 90 lb. frame from Fair Haven, NJ who attends Rumson Fair Haven. Young, slender frame with plenty of time and room to physically mature. Recorded a 9.25 second sixty-yard dash time. Primary infielder with a developing defensive skill set. Used deliberate footwork to range laterally while displaying a clean funnel out in-front and the ability to repeat his actions well. Produced arm strength up to 54 mph across the diamond during drills. Right-handed pitcher that worked exclusively from the stretch in this look. Good rhythm and tempo during delivery and engaged lower half well down the slope. Showed developing feel for secondary offerings with both needing to be thrown with more conviction moving forward. Will continue to improve with proper mechanical adjustments and additional velocity. Right-handed hitter that hits from an even based stance with a tight hand set and negative toe-tap trigger. Line drive tendencies with whole field approach and developing strength. Will continue to improve with mechanical adjustments and future physical maturity.
