Gael Alamos is a 2029 1B/LHP/OF with a 5-8 175 lb. frame from Albuquerque, NM who attends Sandia. Medium young build with some present strength. Left handed hitter, sets up in a slightly open stance with bat resting on his shoulder, simple stride into contact, sinks into his lower half well, inside swing path, showed some feel for the barrel with line drive contact to all fields. 8.76 runner in the sixty. Primary first baseman on defense, has a clean release on his throws and made accurate feeds, some idea on his footwork around the bag. Also pitched, worked from the stretch from the first base side of the rubber, has a compact 3/4's arm, repeated his mechanics well and pitched to contact. Fastball was in the upper 60's. Curveball was a very effective pitch with big 1/7 shape and the ability to land for strikes, showed he could mix and locate.
