Oliver Nagel is a 2029 C/MIF with a 5-8 144 lb. frame from Houston, TX who attends Westside. Smaller young build with lots of time and room to get bigger and stronger. Right handed hitter, sets up in a slightly open balanced stance with a simple stride into contact, upper body rotational swing, still developing the strength to control and drive the barrel, contact to all fields. Primary catcher on defense, sets up side saddle behind the plate, gains ground into his throws well, shorter arm action with a low 3/4's arm slot, made accurate throws, repeated well for his age. Also worked out in the infield, has step by step actions to the ball, fielded the ball cleanly and made accurate throws. Good student.
