Max Rector is a 2026 C/RHP/1B with a 5-8 165 lb. frame from Brighton, MI who attends Hartland. A medium frame and medium build with some room to keep filling out moving forward. Ran a 7.73 60-yard dash. Worked out in the outfield, taking good routes to the baseball, working through ti with a shuffle into his throws. Had a medium arm action with an uphill release and threw at 75 mph. He showed accuracy around the bag and kept throws in the air on a good flight during his round. He fielded it off the side, working into the shuffle, and had an idea for the footwork throughout his round. Took BP as a right-handed hitter with a spread and open stance, with high set hands and the back elbow up. He used an aggressive toe-tap inward to contact with a direct and compact stroke. He was pretty direct as he delivered the barrel, working pull-side. Stayed short to it and was able to get the barrel to it out in front. Worked the entire field during his round of BP swings. Good student.
